How to upload a file to the Conference Folder

This takes you step by step through the process of uploading a file to the Conference Library.

File upload in 5 easy steps.

  1. Go to EMREL - http://emrel.regionsem.org/ and log in using your username and password. conf0
  2. Click on the Conferences link on the left side conf1
  3. Click the link at the bottom of the page conf2
  4. On the next page, click the link at the bottom of the page conf3
  5. On the page that appears, fill out the form (example screenshot at the bottom):
  • pick a Name - no spaces
  • pick a Title - a clear normal text title, such as Use of Antibiotics in Bronchitis
  • type a Description - A short blurb about the file. Maybe include things like file size, file type [i.e. powerpoint, video, pdf]
  • click the Browse... button, and go find the file on your hard drive
  • click Save button conf4

Your Done! Your upload will be reviewed by EMREL Administrators and will be published and announced. THANK YOU FOR CONTRIBUTING! conf5

Additional Tips Below....

  1. Please limit the size of any uploaded files to 10MB. If your file is larger than this, please consider splitting it if it is a PowerPoint presentation, or remove some of the graphics, especially if they are not essential to the content.
  2. Please note, when you go to upload the file, it may take some time (3-5 min for a large (8 MB) file over a broadband connection. Don't cancel, or get impatient. It usually works just fine.
  3. To help keep everything organized, some of your colleages are reviewers, which will review your submission prior to publishing it. This may take a day or two.
  4. Please feel free to use the green tabs which are at the top of your document (View, Edit, Properties & State) to set keywords that are appropriate, or place an activation time or expiration time.
